Natura Montessori School
Natura Montessori School is an international Montessori project authorized by the Middle States Association (MSA), offering a unique educational journey that blends Montessori excellence with a deep connection to nature. All our guides are AMI-certified, ensuring the highest standards of Montessori pedagogy.
Beyond the classroom, students participate in our Forest School and Bushcraft program, developing resilience, creativity, and practical survival skills led by qualified specialists. This combination fosters independence, respect for the environment, and holistic growth.
Sustainability is at the heart of our ethos: our campus runs entirely on solar energy, and we use ecological products in everything from cleaning to our school meals.
With over seven years of proven experience, we are proud to now expand our educational journey. Currently serving children aged 1–12, we will open our Secondary program (12–16) in the academic year 2026–2027.

Languages
Primary Language
English
Additional languages offered
At Natura Montessori School we offer a trilingual environment from the very beginning. Each classroom has three qualified guides, ensuring constant exposure to:
English – our main language of instruction and the vehicular language in all areas.
Spanish and Catalan – present in every environment to support cultural identity, communication, and literacy.
This structure allows children to naturally acquire the three languages in daily life. English remains the primary academic language, while Spanish and Catalan are consistently integrated at all stages (Early Years and Elementary). In Secondary (from 2026–2027), this trilingual model will continue, with English as the main academic language and Spanish/Catalan taught at age-appropriate levels.
Language support available
For children new to English, we offer:
- Gentle immersion, ensuring they understand through gestures, visual materials, and one-to-one guidance.
- Small-group support focused on vocabulary, comprehension, and communication.
- Ongoing monitoring to adapt the level of support as fluency develops.
This natural approach allows students to feel secure and included, while progressively becoming confident trilingual speakers.
Curriculum
At Natura Montessori School, the curriculum is delivered fully through the Montessori pedagogy.
- Early Years (1–6 years): Children learn through hands-on experimentation, with a strong focus on Practical Life activities, Sensorial exploration, Language development, and Early Mathematics. The environment is carefully prepared to foster independence, concentration, and a love for learning.
- Elementary (6–12 years): The curriculum is guided by Cosmic Education, where children explore the interconnections between the universe, nature, science, mathematics, and culture. Through this, they develop critical thinking, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility toward the world.
- Secondary (12–16 years, opening in 2026–2027): Our adolescent program extends Montessori principles into project-based learning, real-life experiences, community projects, and microeconomics studies. Students develop autonomy, social responsibility, and practical skills, preparing them to be active, thoughtful, and capable members of society.
This approach ensures children receive an academically rigorous education while nurturing independence, creativity, and global awareness.
Qualifications
- Montessori School Accreditation (MSA, USA): International accreditation ensuring the highest educational standards.
- AMI Certification for all guides: All teachers are trained and certified by the Association Montessori Internationale, guaranteeing authentic Montessori pedagogy.

Student Support
What learning needs the school can support
Natura Montessori School has always been highly sensitive to the diverse needs of children. From the very beginning, our priority has been to create an environment where every student feels included, respected, and able to reach their full potential.
What support staff are available
As of this academic year, we have established an internal department specialized in diversity and inclusion, which:
Provides continuous training and guidance for the teaching team.
Ensures early detection and tailored strategies for individual needs.
Works in close collaboration with families and external professionals when required.
Designs enrichment pathways for gifted children, an area where we have extensive experience and a large student base.
We also adapt our curriculum and facilities to support children with dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism, always within the Montessori framework and respecting each child’s rhythm and individuality.
For students whose needs require a greater degree of dependency and specialized support, we work hand in hand with families to provide the necessary additional resources and ensure the best possible experience for the child.
Admissions
Details of entry criteria
Natura Montessori School welcomes applications from families who share our values of respect, diversity, and inclusion.
Admission is open to children from 1.5 years old onwards, following the Montessori multi-age structure.
For entry into Elementary or Secondary, we value previous Montessori experience; however, children without prior Montessori background are also considered and supported with an adaptation plan.
Details of entry tests
We do not conduct formal academic entrance exams.
Instead, our admissions process includes observations, interviews with families, and, when necessary, a short trial period for the child to ensure a good fit with the Montessori environment.
For students entering Upper Elementary or Secondary, a basic level of English communication is recommended, as it is our main language of instruction.
Further Information
Admissions are open year-round, subject to availability of places.
Siblings are given priority.
When children have special educational needs, our internal inclusion department reviews each case individually to ensure we can provide the right support. In cases requiring a higher degree of dependency, families are asked to provide additional resources.
We encourage families to attend our Open Days or arrange a private tour to fully experience our philosophy, environment, and community before joining.
Extra Curriculars
At Natura Montessori School we offer a small but carefully selected range of extracurricular activities that enrich the children’s experience and complement our Montessori philosophy:
- Yoga – helping children to develop mindfulness, concentration, and body awareness.
- Musical Theatre – fostering creativity, teamwork, self-expression, and confidence on stage.
These activities usually take place after school hours, allowing students to explore new interests in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
